English: Army Gen. Stephen R. Lyons passes the command guidon to Air Force Gen. Jacqueline D. Van Ovost as she takes over as new commander of U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) at Scott Air Force Base, Ill., Oct. 15, 2021. The passing of a guidon serves as a visual to symbolize a change in command. Van Ovost is the first female commander of USTRANSCOM; she takes over for Lyons, the first Army commander.
