Cradled in the arms of Cmdr. Michael L. Schutz, Ellen Renee Bernard was baptized Dec. 19 on the flight deck of USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63). Ellen's parents, John and Danelle Bernard, chose to observe the time-honored naval tradition of baptizing their daughter using the ship's bell.
