DescriptionUS Army soldiers deliver a baby in Haiti during Operation Unified Response.jpg
English: Soldiers from the 98th Civil Affairs Battalion, 95th Civil Affairs Brigade deliver a baby while deployed to Haiti in support of Operation Unified Response. These Soldiers hadn't been on the ground more than a few hours when they were called upon to respond to a medical emergency. Outside the U.S. Embassy gates, the team discovered a young Haitian woman in active labor. Medics Sgt. 1st Class John Dominguez and Staff Sgt. Daniel Orth delivered a healthy baby girl and provided care for the 29 year old mother. The mother said after that if it were a boy, she would have named him "Sam" for Uncle Sam. Since it was a girl, she named her "Samantha".
