Summary
DescriptionSuroboyo Bus.jpg
English: Suroboyo Bus is a mode of public transportation in the form of modern city buses operating in the city of Surabaya. This mode of transportation has several similarities with bus rapid transit (BRT) services in major cities in Indonesia such as Transjakarta, Trans Semarang, Trans Jogja, and so on. This transportation is often called a tayo bus by local residents, because the color of the bus is similar to the character from the animated series Tayo the Little Bus. This service is operated to reduce the number of accidents and relieve congestion on the highway. This transportation was launched by the Surabaya City Government on April 7, 2018 with the initial corridor of the Purabaya Terminal - Rajawali Bus Stop (Krembangan Selatan). The special thing that distinguishes Suroboyo Bus from similar rapid bus services is the ticket payment service system. Prospective Suroboyo Bus passengers must pay for bus tickets using plastic waste, bottled water or a waste deposit card from a designated waste bank and are not allowed to make cash payments in other forms
