English: A worker at a traditional brickyard on the Sudanese Island of Tuti, where the White Nile and Blue Nile merge to form the main Nile, with the Corinthia Hotel Khartoum (formerly "Burj al-Fateh", nicknamed by locals as "Gaddafi's egg" since its construction was funded by Libya) in the background. While mud bricks are much more suitable for the arid climate of Sudan, the luxury hotel building made from imported materials consumes lots energy for cooling.
