English: Statue of an Akkadian ruler of Assur city. From Assur, Iraq, c. 2300 BCE. Pergamon Museum, Berlin, Iraq. It was excavated in 1905 b a German team while the head was found by an Iraqi team in 1983 at the same place. The overall depiction of the man and his attire is Akkadian and dates the statue back to the period of king Manistushu. Diorite.
