English: Statue of Nike. Pentelic marble. Found at Epidaurus. The statue was the central acroterion on the west pediment of the temple of Asclepius. Nike is depicted flying, with her dress billowing in the wind behind her. In her right hand she holds a partridge, a symbol of the healing power of Asclepius. By the sculptor Timotheus. About 380 B.C. Accession number: 155. National Archaeological Museum of Athens.
