Description

The neon marquee sign of the 1937 State Theater in Auburn, California; the five large letters at the top light in a sequence, "S", "ST", ..., "STATE", off.

  • The sign was rebuilt by the Young Electric Sign Company in 2008.
  • A 1942 photograph of the original sign has been posted to the website of the Auburn Placer Performing Arts Center (History - Auburn Placer Performing Arts Center, accessed 2010-12-08).
