Summary
DescriptionSemanario, 25 March 1865.png
English: The official government newspaper El Semanario records Paraguay's reasons for declaring war on the Argentine Confederation. They include "The official and pro-government press of Buenos Aires has not ceased from directing unprovoked insults at the people and government of Paraguay. The Commission has read with the most lively indignation the daily libels that are published in that city, insofar as they concern our fatherland".
