English: Pedestrians at Jackson St. and Empire Way (now Martin Luther King, Jr. Way), Seattle, Washington, 1961. "Enco" and "Humble" were two of the names used for what later became "Exxon" gas stations; at the time, the "Humble Oil Company" used "Enco" in areas where it was not allowed to use "Esso" (because "Esso" derived from "Standard Oil" and a different company -- in this case Chevron -- had the right the "Standard" name in that state.
