Summary
DescriptionSeacroft, Inverkip, garden from south.jpg
English: Seacroft, Inverkip, is one of a small group of properties adjacent to the A78 road around 500 metres to the southwest of the village of Inverkip, sharing the postcode PA16 0EA. It is the southmost of three houses between the road and the Firth of Clyde, there is also one house on the landward side to the road. Looking over a tyre at the garden entrance, the plot of land and the garden are littered with junk. The garage of the house is seen to the right.
Seacroft was the home of Avril Jones and Edward Cairney, who in 2019 were convicted of the murder of Margaret Fleming, for whom they were nominated carers, between December 1999 and January 2000. They concealed her death, and Jones continued to claim benefits due to Fleming, until it was discovered in 2016 that Fleming was missing.[1][2]
