Mid Caption: The strong partnership between the Afghan National Security Forces and the Australian Special Operations Task Group, continues to develop through combined operations such as this one conducted recently in Oruzgan Province, designed to disrupt insurgent leadership, reduce the threat of explosive devices and protect the local population against insurgent influence, intimidation and violence.
The Special Operations Task Group (SOTG), is a Task Group of about 310 personnel. SOTG operates in support of International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), security operations and provides security and force protection for coalition forces in Oruzgan Province.
