Summary
| Description |
English: Rail Scissors Crossovers on Channel Tunnel are slower if you have to use an ordinary Diamond Crossing in the middle, compared to a design which substitutes turnouts for the Diamond. However, the fast design is only possible if track centres are many times wider. Fortunately, the Channel Tunnel entrance with its twin entrances has very wide track centres, making the Fast version buildable. The wider the track centres the faster. |
