Summary
DescriptionRCAF DR Nav Tools 1940.JPG
English: Basic Navigation Tools from the BCATP era. The British P10 Magentic Compass and leather flying helmet are authentic and from the period. In a Spitfire or Hurricane this type of compass would be mounted on the floor in between the pilot's legs. The chart, E6-B, plotter, pencil notebook, and watch are circa 2000. Intervals of 10 nautical miles are marked off on the pencil. P10 compass, wooden case, and flying helmet courtesy of Tom Dietrich, Tiger Boys Aircraft Works. The ASA E6-B is still available at pilot supply shops in 2013.
