Description
English: Standing tall at a height of 72.5 metres, the Qutb minar is the tallest brick minaret in the world. The tall minaret was constructed in 1192 by Qutab-ud-din Aibak, and later completed by his successor Iltutmish. There are 379 stairs inside the tower to reach the top. The Qutb minar stands still even after numerous earthquakes and being struck by lightning. The beautiful structure is also declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is one of the most visited tourist spots in the city.
This place is a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the reference 233.
