La actual bandera de Portugal se utiliza desde 1910 con la ca�da de la monarqu�a y el inicio de la Rep�blica. Sin embargo, todav�a incluye elementos que ten�a la bandera de armas que utilizaba el rey Sancho I, por all� en 1185. Curiosamente, la esfera dorada que aparece detr�s del escudo simbolizaba el reino de Brasil, en �pocas de Don Joao VI (1816). Lo que se ve al frente es una parte de las murallas del Castillo de los Moros, en Sintra. Al fondo, un hermoso cielo despejado de invierno (�!?). |
