English: Allard Schmidt: "This picture was taken at sunrise, after hiking ahead of the group towards Machu Picchu I found Machu Picchu empty, Huayna Picchu was covered in clouds. After waiting 10 minutes the clouds dissolved beautifully resulting in this picture. Unfortunately, the moment the thin clouds covered Wayne Pichu was very short, there was no time to change the camera light exposure settings in order to correct the overexposure."
Français : Allard Schmidt: «Cette image a été prise à l'aube, après que j'ai pris de l'avance sur le groupe de randonneurs qui se dirigeaient vers le Machu Picchu. J'ai trouvé le Machu Picchu désert, et le Huayna Picchu dans les nuages. Après dix minutes d'attente, la brume s'est dissipée joliment, ce qui a donnée cette photographie. Malheureusement l'instant où le Wayne Pichu était entouré de nuages fins était trop bref pour que je puisse régler l'appareil, et l'image est un peu surexposée.»
