Hemogregarine mature gamonts in two snake species and one lizard species endemic to Madagascar

(B) Hepatozoon in Madagascarophis colubrinus (ACZC1827);
(C) Hepatozoon in Madagascarophis colubrinus (ACZC1963);
(D, E, F) hemogregarine infections in Oplurus sp. (×49). (F) Could represent a young stage based on the characteristics of the nucleus. Hepatozoon infecting Furcifer sp. is presented in Figure 2A. Arrows indicate hemogregarine parasites apparently inside leukocytes. Scale bar = 10 μm.
