Summary

Description
Français : Vestige du château de Gaston Fébus, comte de Béarn au XIIIème siècle, seule la tour demeure debout. Elle abrite maintenant un musée historique et l'on peut grimper à son sommet pour jouir d'une vue magnifique sur la ville d'Orthez et ses environs.

Ce musée retrace l'histoire des comtes de Béarn et en particulier du plus célèbre d'entre eux, Gaston Fébus. On a longtemps pensé que cette tour était hantée par la Dame Blanche, une prisonnière qui y fut enfermée et y mourut en ces sombres temps de rivalités politiques et amoureuses.

On peut y voir une maquette du château tel qu'il se présentait du temps de sa splendeur.
