English: Nastasen's pyramid, Nuri, Sudan, North-east Africa
Pyramid Nu 15: The last ruler to be buried at the cemetery of Nuri was Nastasen (328-308 BCE). At this time the residence of the Napatan rulers was at Meroe. The pyramid, with base c. 100 feet square, sits on the bedrock of a small plateau about a mile from the Nile River. Cut into the bedrock below the pyramid are three burial chambers for the king.
