Description
English: The Mohanta Maszid is situated at Barua village near Goyalpara under Raiganj sub-division of Uttar Dinajpur district. It was constructed in 1425 A.D. It is popularly known as Manhantabari Masjid by the local people as the owner of the structure is Mohanta family.

The Mosque stands as a mark of the 15th century architectural style. There are three high domes in the mosque resembling the construction pattern of the Mughal era.

In the year 2011, the West Bengal Heritage Commission declared the Mohanta Masjid as a heritage site. However, no restoration work has been done till date. The boundary wall around the structure has been put up by the present descendant of Mohanta family.

Though the exploration was mainly on Dakshin Dinajpur some parts of Uttar Dinajpur was covered too.
