EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- F-16CJ tail markings from the 13th Fighter Squadron, Misawa Air Base, Japan are displayed on the flightline here on 18 July prior to the start of exercise Cooperative Cope Thunder 2006. The exercise is a Joint/Combined Air training exercise with the main purpose of providing 8-10 sorties per pilot, that are as real as combat within the constraints of the training environment. This exercise is run by 353rd Combat Training Squadron at Eielson AFB with DET 1, 353 CTS at Elmendorf AFB.
