Der Leipziger Hauptbahnhof mit seinem umfangreichen Gleisvorfeld,
rechts davor der Park mit dem Schwanenteich, ganz vorne rechts das Dach der Oper,
ganz rechts das Wintergartenhochhaus mit dem Mustermesse-Zeichen, dahinter die Bahnstrecken Engelsdorf – Riesa – Dresden (Erste deutsche Fernbahnstrecke) und Stötteritzer Kurve – Markkleeberg – Altenburg – Hof (Hofer Bahn),
nach Norden unter der Berliner Brücke hindurch führt die Bahnstrecke Richtung Dessau – Bitterfeld, von der noch die nach Torgau – Falkenberg abzweigt,
nach links die Bahnstrecken nach Halle und Plagwitz, letztere verzweigt sich nach Weißenfels, Gera und Markkleeberg,
links hinter dem Hauptbahnhof der alte Freiladebahnhof, darüber das Gasometer Nord an der Roscherstraße, heute beide ungenutzt.
