Română: 1882 - Aplecat asupra planelor imense, nedespãrtit de uneltele ce l-au consacrat drept "maestru în arta ingineriei", Gustave Eiffel retusa ultimele detalii ale unei veritabile bijuterii arhitectonice. Nu la Paris sau Viena, Saigon ori Statele Unite ale Americii, ci la Iasi, pe pãmânt românesc, într-unul din centrele care a polarizat cunotinele si energiile întregii tãri.
Cu doi ani înainte ca acelasi Gustave Eiffel sã devinã celebru prin Statuia Libertãtii, care vegheazã si acum continentul american si cu 7 ani înainte sã înalte Turnul din Paris, care îi poartã numele, la Iasi, în Piata Unirii, dupã planurile maestrului din Cote d´Or un edificiu cu influentã neoclasicã prindea viatã: Marele Hotel TRAÍAN.
