English: An ancient Greek encaustic painting on marble depicting the portrait of a young man from a grave stele, with a tombstone inscription declaring "ΘΕΟΔΩΡΟΣ ΧΑΙΡΕ" or "Farewell to Theodoros" on one side. The painting is dated to the 1st century BC, during the early Roman period of Greece and is now housed in the Archaeological Museum of Thebes.
Description of the painting from the museum's online web page: "Στην επόμενη θεματική ενότητα παρουσιάζονται τα ταφικά έθιμα της ρωμαϊκής περιόδου, με χαρακτηριστικά κτερίσματα (Προθ.
