Deutsch: Die Einhardsbasilika, Michelstadt, Deutschland Dies ist ein Blick auf die Südseite der Basilika. Man erkennt zunächst das 1972/73 wieder aufgebaute südliche Seitenschiff. Ganz rechts im Bild die südliche Seite der Hauptapsis. An den Fenstern des Mittelschiffs sind unterschiedliche Baustadien zu erkennen. Die ersten drei Fenster von links wurden im 16. Jahrhundert eingefügt bzw. verändert: das erste Fenster von links ist 1588 eingebaut worden. Die nächsten beiden sind im 16. Jahrhundert veränderte Fenster der romanischen Erweiterung der Basilika nach Westen von 1182. Alle übrigen Fenster oberhalb des Seitenschiffes sind karolingische Originale. An der großen Fehlstelle rechts des Seitenschiffes befand sich ursprünglich der südliche Nebenchor (an der Mauer sind die Umrisse des Daches zu erkennen). Die (schlecht zu erkennende) „Türe“ unterhalb des Bogens zum südlichen Nebenchor befand sich bis zum Beginn der Arbeiten am Dachstuhl der „moderne“ Eingang zur Krypta (z. Zt. Eingang durch eine Treppe im nördlichen Seitenschiff). Ursprünglich war diese „Türe“ der Quergang der Krypta unterhalb des südlichen Nebenchores.
