Summary

Description
English: EBSD (Electron Backscatter Diffraction) orientation map about ferrous lath martensite with high angle (>10°) boundaries. Lath martensite can appear usually in the technologically more important low (and medium) carbon and low alloyed steels due to quench, and consists of stacks of parallel, parquet- or lath-shape crystals.

The lath martensite morphology exhibits a characteristic multilevel microstructure. A parent austenite grain consists of several packets. Each packet is divided into parallel blocks and a block is further subdivided into laths. The martensite lath is a single crystal of martensite which contains lattice defects, such as dislocations, with high density.

The EBSD analysis was performed by a FEI Quanta 3D FE-SEM, at the Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary.
Magyar: Vasalapú léces martenzitről készült EBSD (Electron Backscatter Diffraction, visszaszórt elektron diffrakció) orientációs térkép nagyszögű (>10°) krisztallithatárokkal. A léces martenzit kis szén- illetve ötvözőtartalmú acélokban alakul ki edzés hatására, és egymással párhuzamosan elhelyezkedő, parketta- vagy lécszerű krisztallitokból ("lécek") áll.

A léces martenzit jellegzetes többszintű mikroszerkezettel rendelkezik.
