Object history
Deutsch: Die drei schwarzen Raben im Schildhaupt sind dem Stammwappen der Familie Lintelo entnommen, die sich von 1634 bis 1705 im Besitz der Herrschaft Wiesent befand. Wiesent war Sitz einer eigenen Herrschaft mit besonderer Gerichtsbarkeit, die seit 1505 zum Fürstentum Pfalz-Neuburg gehörte und verschiedenen Adelsfamilien unterstand. Die Lintelo erbauten das heute noch bestehende Schloss im Ortszentrum von Wiesent; über dem Schlossportal ist das Familienwappen angebracht. Die goldene Lilie steht für das Marienpatrozinium der seit 1620 als Pfarrkirche nachgewiesenen Kirche Maria Himmelfahrt, dem kirchlichen Mittelpunkt der Gemeinde.
