Object history

Deutsch: Die Gemeinde ist durch Zusammenschluss von Fahrenbach, Robern und Trienz im Jahre 1975 entstanden. Als Wappensymbol wünschte sie einen Limes-Wachtturm. Der Odenwald-Limes verlief durch die Gemarkung der heutigen Gemeinde Fahrenbach, mitten durch den Ortsetter von Robern und dicht am Ortsteil Trienz vorbei. Bei Robern befanden sich das Kastell Hönehaus, das einzige erhaltene Kleinkastell der Umgebung, und ein Turm; ein weiteres Kleinkastell lag auf dem Gebiet des Ortsteils Trienz. Das Wappen, dessen Tingierung die badischen Farben Gold und Rot aufgreift, wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Generallandesarchiv geschaffen und mit der Flagge am 24. November 1980 vom Landratsamt Neckar-Odenwald-Kreis verliehen.
