English: Chao Phraya Dam is the first barrage dam which was built since the King Rama V but was completed in 1957. It is located the bend of the Bang krabian River in Bang Luang sub-district, Sapphaya district. The structure was constructed with ferro concrete. The dam is 237.5 metres long and 16.5 metres tall. A 14-metre-wide floodgate allow boats to pass through. The dam is utilized for water irrigation for agriculture, aquatic resource conservation, and power generation used within the province. With spectacular landscape, there are resorts and a golf course to accommodate visitors. Visitors can also enjoy ten thousands of dabbling ducks feeding in an upper area of the dam from January to February
