Summary

Description
English: Castle Hill, Lincoln - Vehicle Panhard Levassor X46 (cylinder capacity 2300cc) Year of Manufacture 1924. Date of First Registration 31-DEC-1924. The body was built by Salmons and Son, Coachbuilders with a history going back to the 1820s, when they occupied a cottage and outbuildings, which were part of the walled estate of Tickford Abbey - in SP8844. That area is now part of Newport Pagnell. The Salmon family sold the business in 1942 to Ian Boswell of Crawley, who sold it in 1955 to David Brown, the owner of Aston Martin Lagonda, also of Newport Pagnell. At some point the name changed to Tickford. Now, as Aston Martin Tickford, they make special versions of production cars.
