English: Time zone map of Canada with English labels
This map depicts observed time zones and observed time zone boundaries, some of which differ from those defined by provincial and territorial legislation.
In areas with no road network and no inhabitants, the map falls back to using legislated time zone boundaries.
The winter and summer time zone abbreviations shown on the map are consistent with the IANA time zone database.
Colour coded keys and descriptions of each time zone area are provided lower down on this page.

NOTES
†Prior to 2010, Petit-Mécatina belonged to Minganie Regional County Municipality which was given explicit EST/EDT status under the 2006 time act. Given that Petit-Mécatina is no longer part of Minganie, and given that it is entirely east of 63°W, a careful interpretation of 2006 time act will place Petit-Mécatina on permanent Atlantic Standard Time (AST) from 2010 onwards. This may be considered moot because Petit-Mécatina is a vast wilderness with no infrastructure and no inhabitants.
