Statue of Moshe ben Maimon (משה בן מימון), known as the Rambam for "Rabbeinu Moshe Ben Maimon", "Our Rabbi/Teacher Moses Son of Maimon", and Latinized to Moses Maimonides; sculptured by Spanish sculptor Amadeo Ruiz Olmos (1913-1993). Maimonides was a preeminent medieval Sephardic Jewish philosopher, astronomer, Torah scholar/rabbi, and physician of the Middle Ages. He was Born in Córdoba in 1135 or 1138, and died in Egypt in 1204.
