Description
English: Pencil and ink sketch on thin, blue-lined writing paper shows a church with a mountain labeled "Soharro" behind it. Bartlett's Personal Narrative shows that he was in Arizpe from May 30 until June 3, 1851 and was fascinated by this church. The notation "Soharro" refers to the giant saguaro cactus that is characteristic of the Sonoran Desert.
Español: Dibujo con lápiz y pluma en papel con líneas azules demuestra una montaña con la etiqueta "Soharra" detrás de una iglesia. Según su Personal Narrative, Bartlett estuvo en Arizpe desde el 30 de mayo hasta el 3 de junio de 1851 y en este periodo de tiempo anotó su fascinación con esta iglesia.
