Español: La bandera de la region de Piura fue creada en el año 2003.
La interpretación de la bandera es: «El color rojo simboliza la sangre de nuestros héroes, el blanco, la paz y la concordia de nuestros paisanos, el color verde que identifica la esperanza y la agricultura, la cual es la mas grande riqueza que tiene nuestra región y las ocho estrellas simbolizan las ocho provincias del departamento y el color amarillo de cada una de las estrellas representa el calor que brinda el majestuoso sol y de las personas que habitan.»
English: The Piura region flag was created in 2003.
The interpretation of the flag is: "The red color symbolizes the blood of our heroes, the white, the peace and harmony of our countrymen, the green color that identifies hope and agriculture, which is the greatest wealth that it has our region and the eight stars symbolize the eight provinces of the department and the yellow color of each one of the stars represents the heat that the majestic sun and the people who inhabit provide." |
