This photo is used in Figure 11-6 of the Apollo 16 Preliminary Science Report (NASA SP-315), which has the following caption: The Apollo 16 LSM deployed on the Moon in the lunar highlands. Sensors are at the top ends of the booms and approximately 75 cm above the lunar surface.
