| Description |
The First Australian Falcon the XK, featuring a concave grille was basically a right hand version of the American car with adjustments to the suspension and diff. The XK proved to be a little fragile over the outback roads, warranty claims were so costly for Ford that there were rumours that production would be discontinued. But with the support of the U.S. parent company, the car survived. Built from Sept 1960- Aug 1962 Engines; 144 and 170 cu in 6cyl, 3 speed manual or 2 speed auto Sedan; Standard or Deluxe Wagon; Standard or Deluxe The Deluxe had the chrome side strip Standard Utility and Panel Vans were added in 1961. |
