English: S.S. Tashkent (Soviet Freighter, 1914)
At anchor in San Francisco Bay, California, during World War II. Built in 1914 as the American flag freighter Iowan, this ship was USS Iowan (ID # 3002) in 1917-1919 and then reverted to commercial operation under the same name. She was turned over to the Soviet Union on 26 December 1942. In the late 1950s she was reportedly transferred to North Korea.
