English: Aerial view of the archaeological site of Arkaim, in the steppe of the Southern Ural, 8.2 km (5.10 mi) north-to-northwest of the village of Amursky and 2.3 km (1.43 mi) south-to-southeast of the village of Alexandrovsky in the Chelyabinsk Oblast of Russia, just north of the border with Kazakhstan. The ruins, discovered in 1987, have been dated around XVIIth-XVIth centuries B.C. and have been connected to the Sintachta culture. They are the remnants of an ancient fortified city of round shape, with two concentric circles of walls sheltering around sixty houses and workshops.

Les ruines, découvertes en 1987, ont été datées des XVIIe-XVIe siècles avant J.-C. environ et ont été rattachées à la culture Sintachta. Il s'agit des vestiges d'une cité antique fortifiée de forme ronde, constituée de deux cercles concentriques de remparts abritant une soixantaine de maisons et d'ateliers.
