Twesigye Jackson Kaguri grew in a in Nyakagezi a small village in Kanungu district Uganda, he spent most of his younger age working on his fathers small farm. Luckily, his parents were able to get tuition that would push him through school, He attended Bishop Comboni College Kambuga and went to Makerere University for his Degree.
After his graduation, he studied Human rights advocacy at the Columbia University where he was a visiting scholar in the early 90's.
He holds a Ph.D.’s . in Agriculture from the CalPol University, Honorary Ph.D. in Law from the Andrews University, Honorary Ph.D. in Humanities from the Shenandoah University in the US, Bachelor of Continuing Education from Indiana University, Visiting Scholar in Public Administration from Columbia University in the US, and a Bachelor of Social Sciences from Makerere University.
