History

Howard Hood opened a big warehouse food store in Matteson, Illinois called “The Mart” in 1960. The Mart was a warehouse club, but only for groceries. In 1975, Hood-Mart (The Mart changed it's name to Hood-Mart in 1973) opened it's second store in Chicago Ridge, Illinois, and it keep opening many stores
