Summer Frost is an upcoming American science-fiction film directed by James Gray based on the short story of the same name by Blake Crouch. The film is being produced by Skydance Media and Temple Hill Entertainment. It stars Zoe Saldaña.
Premise
The story follows a VR game designer whose world is forever changed when one of her non-player characters starts acting out of programming.

Production
In June 2020, it was reported that a science-fiction film titled Summer Frost was in development, with Neil Burger directing. It based on a short story by Blake Crouch.[1]
In February 2024, Burger had exited the project, and that James Gray was hired instead to direct. Zoe Saldaña was cast in the lead role as Riley.[2]
