Nicholas R. Sherman is an American politician who is currently serving in his second term as Washington County Commissioner in Washington Pennsylvania   Sherman was the top vote getter in the general election on November 7th 2023 and has been elected to serve his second four-year term.[2] Sherman’s running mate Electra Janis also won a seat on the Commissioners board.

2019 General Election - Sheran received 24,16 perc of the vote to be elected to his first term.

2023 General Election - Sherman was the top vote getter receiving 27.76% for his second term.

A member of the Republican Party, Sherman previously worked for then Pennsylvania Attorney General Mike Fisher, State Representative Mark Mustio, and Congressman Tim Murphy.

Prior to being elected, Sherman served as an executive in the nonprofit sector, providing vital services to the community through court diversionary programs designed to restore families and protect the community.  His experience helped him to create a much-needed Human Services Department in the County, eliminating duplicate services and providing better quality of service at a cost savings.[4]

Born- Nicklaus Robert Sherman is married with two children. He is a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Peters Township, Masonic Lodge 164 of Washington, and the Syria Shrine in Pittsburgh.

Commissioner Sherman was recognized in 2003 by President George W. Bush as the youngest District Director in a Congressional office.
