"reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) "

A programmable structure known as a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) can be used to alter the surface's electric and magnetic characteristics in order to control the propagation of electromagnetic waves. It is possible to control the characteristics of radio channels by positioning these surfaces in a given environment.[1]

RIS is a structure that can be programmed to alter the electric and magnetic properties of the surface, thus controlling the propagation of electromagnetic (EM) waves. RISs can sense the radio environment by integrating sensing capabilities into them, in addition to controlling electromagnetic waves. It is possible to partially control the characteristics of the radio channels by arranging intelligent surfaces in the vicinity of wireless systems. Lots of research focuses on.[1]
