Mariana Downing (born May 31, 1995) is a British-Dominican model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Dominican Republic 2023 and represented Dominican Republic at the Miss Universe 2023 pageant.^[1]

Early Life and Career

Downing was born in Miami, Florida, United States. She is a British-Dominican. She has been in well-known magazines like Lapalme Magazine, North Miami Magazine, and Hola Magazine Worldwide. Mariana’s impressive modeling portfolio includes collaborations with esteemed brands such as Mac Cosmetics, Givenchy, and Dillard’s. In 2015, Mariana signed a contract with the prestigious Wilhelmina Model Agency.

Miss Dominican Republic 2023

During the big final of Miss República Dominicana 2023, Mariana was crowned Miss Universe Dominican Republic 2023. The event was held on September 3 at Centro de Convenciones Sambil in Santo Domingo. She beat 20 other contestants to earn the crown.

Miss Universe 2023

On November 18, 2023 in San Salvador, El Salvador Downing competed at the Miss Universe 2023 pageant. She was one of the fan-favourites during the competition. Downing failed to enter the Top 20.
