What 'Love Birds' is: Created in 2023, with a planned release in early 2024 'Love Birds' is an Indie game passion project by Jaxon Hill, and Skyler Esterly.

Gameplay Description: Get them cats! Play alone or join your friends to free every last imprisoned bird, but that's not your only goal. All those forest freaks are gonna be out to get you. Explore the many different biomes, and build up your base! Raise a bird army!

History:

September 2022: The creators (Jaxon and Skyler) were playing a fun and simple browser game called "Wanderers.io" and started kicking up and idea of how it would be fun, and relatively easy to make something in the same vein that was far more expansive. All they knew was that kisses would be a gameplay element.

October 2022: The original unity project was made. A tree, the logo still used, the main menu, and the starter forest grass was drawn.

November 2022: Jaxon started an expansive google doc detailing the games progress, and what was being done and needed to be done every single day.

December 2022: Jaxon decided that he wanted to turn 'Love Birds' into a Steam game, and try to sell it. A goal of his far more than Skyler.

January 2023: Marketing for the game started, mostly through paid reddit ads and tik-tok promoted posts. An email list was started, that then doxed them so they pivoted to Discord. A small community started coming together to help with playtests, and giving suggestions to improve the game. Early members included Goat Man , يزن , Phofers , Chris Jett, and Mister Misterson. All of whom helped greatly in improving the game.
