John R. Pepper (April 6, 1850 - March 31, 1931) was a businessman in Memphis, Tennessee. He had grocery stores in Memphis and Mississippi.[1]

Born in Virginia. He married Charlese Read (1854 - 1933) in 1875.[1]

KWEM? (KWAM) sold in 1851 to Dee Rivers Established WDIA with a partner.[2]

Charles O. Pfeil designed his home.
