Draft:Jennifer Marotta
Jennifer Marotta (b. 1979) is a trumpeter based in Los Angeles, California and Assistant Professor of trumpet at the University of Southern California, Thornton School of Music. Marotta regularly performs with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony, Los Angeles Opera, Los Angeles Master Chorale, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, Music of the Baroque in Chicago, as well as other major orchestras and festivals across the nation.
At the age of 22, Marotta became a member of "The President's Own Marine Band" and performed with the ensemble from 2001 to 2005. She is a current member of the Grand Teton Music Festival and serves on the board for the International Women's Brass Conference.
Marotta earned her Bachelor of Music degree from Northwestern University studying under Barbra Butler and Charlie Geyer. She then received her Master in Music degree from DePaul University.
Jennifer Marotta is a Yamaha Artist.
