Ibrahim Ayoub Mandingo (born November 15, 1990) famously known as Country Wizzy is a Tanzanian rapper and songwriter who has been active in the music industry since 2012.[1]
His songs such as Turn Up, Baby and Poa have made him a household name in Tanzania while his international collaborations with Nigeria's Seyi Shay, Skales and South Africa's EMTEE[2] have made him one of the most influential rappers in East Africa.[3]

Early life
Country Wizzy, whose real name is Ibrahim Ayoub Mandingo, was born and raised in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. In 2004, he began his journey in the music industry after earning a record deal with Baucha Records.[4]
After completing his studies in 2010, Country Wizzy released his debut single You Are The One and went on to release other songs such as Watch Me, Hakuna Matata and I'm Coming Home that continued to solidify his status in the Tanzanian rap game.[5]
In 2017 he released his smash hit titled Turn Up featuring the legendary Tanzanian rapper Mwana FA. The intimate rap love song made him a household name in Tanzania.[6]
In 2020 Country Wizzy joined Konde Gang, a label owned by Tanzania singer and songwriter, Harmonize.[7][8] He left Konde Gang until 2022 where he is now signed to BXtra Records.[9][10] In 2023, Country Wizzy unveiled his record label I AM Music with acts such as Bruce Africa and FreshBoys.[11]
In 2019 he dropped his debut album titled Yule Boy featuring some of Tanzania's biggest names such as Mimi Mars, S2kizzy, G Nako, legendary rapper Mwana FA, Harmonize and Kenya's Khaligraph Jones.
Personal life
Country Wizzy is a younger brother to Babu Wa Kitaa, a Tanzanian rapper and presenter at one of Tanzania's leading TV stations, Clouds TV.[5][12]
