Christopher Barnett is a British-Caribbean composer[1][2][3]who has scored more than forty films. He holds an MMus in Composing for Film and TV from London College of Music.

His music has appeared on all the major British television broadcasters. Credits include Getting Away With Murder(s), The First Film,[4] (featuring Tom Courtenay and Sarah Lancashire), Postcards from the 48% (featuring Miriam Margolyes, Bob Geldoff, Joan Bakewell, Rachel Johnson, Alastair Campbell, Peter Tatchell, Bonnie Greer, Femi Oluwole, Nick Clegg and Vince Cable), Joy Womack: The White Swan (about American ballet dancer Joy Womack), A Dose of Happiness,[5] Modern British Slavery, Borrowed Time[6] (starring Phil Davis and Warren Brown), Stag Night of the Dead,Three Minute Moments (featuring James Fisher) and All The Wild Horses, which took Best Music Score at Flixx Fest.[7] In 2011, 2012 and 2017 respectively, he worked once again with Fisher, (who was producing), scoring the Raindance Festival selection Black Smoke Rising, the 'Best Film' award winning Monk3ys, and feature documentary Royd Tolkien's There's a Hole In My Bucket, featuring Peter Jackson, John Rhys Davies, Billy Boyd and Benedict Cumberbatch, .

He was also additional composer for the BAFTA nominated A Cock and Bull Story[8] (starring Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon, and featuring Keeley Hawes, Shirley Henderson, Jack Shepherd, David Walliams, Benedict Wong, Naomie Harris, Kelly Macdonald and Stephen Fry); and Israeli Academy - Ophir Award-winning, Speer Goes to Hollywood[9][10][11], (the documentary score receiving a 2022 International Documentary Association 'Best Music Score' nomination for composer Frank Ilfman).

Barnett is a member of The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA)[12] [13]and has served as jury member and panelist for several film and music bodies, including the Ivor Novello Awards.
